Role Overview
We make short animated films that millions of people watch billions of times every month. It all starts with ideas and we’re looking for someone to own the ideation process end-to-end. You’ll handle idea generation, streamline selection, and build a data-informed strategy that keeps our content fresh, watchable, and ahead of the curve.
This isn’t just brainstorming; it’s structured creativity. You’ll balance systems and data with the spark of imagination, guiding our team of idea generators, including the founder, and ensuring the writing team always has a steady flow of high-quality ideas to take forward.
🎯 Purpose
You’ll design and deliver an ideation system that:
Generates > 40 high-quality ideas weekly for the writing team.
Streamlines idea allocation and scheduling.
Produces bi-weekly ideation strategy reports to guide channel direction.
Builds and implements a three-year content strategy informed by internal metrics and external trends.
Ensures Zack D. Films stays relevant, watchable, and true to its brand identity while experimenting with new ideas.
✍️ Responsibilities
Manage the ideation team, including recruiting and reviewing idea generators.
Prepare weekly idea schedules and pass them to the writing team.
Collaborate with the research team to ensure ideas are pre-researched before scripting.
Analyse video performance daily, tracking success back to ideas, categories, and generators.
Monitor cultural trends and the “zeitgeist” to keep content timely and engaging.
Deliver clear reports, action plans, and strategy updates based on data.
Build and implement systems that support ideation operations, including coding project management tools if needed.
Ultimate Responsibility: Ensure the channel’s ideation pipeline is efficient, data-driven, and consistently delivering content that fuels growth.
